In celebration of the facts that I am once again eating solids, we bought our traditional Saturday Market tacos. Beef, grilled onions and french fries. It's kind of amazing. We've always had a sort of outdoors space between our garage and front door, which is where we used to keep Isa's play house , but my brilliant husband had the idea to move the house back under the covering of the garage and leave the outdoor space open so the kids can run around and we can sit out there together as a family. Needless to say, we've been loving this newly created space. There has been plenty of bubble blowing, taco eating and attempted bike riding going on lately.
On Sunday we spent the afternoon with an old high school acquaintance of James'. We took him and his girlfriend to the famous boats in Xochimilco. The boats are located throughout the numerous old canals that the Aztecs used to live on in the south of the city. For about 20 dollars, you can hop on your own private boat with a guide as you paddle past mariachis, corn and taco vendors, plant markets, river animals and other groups of people our for a Sunday boat ride. It's got to be one of my favorite things to experience here in Mexico City and Sunday did not disappoint.
I love our weekends together as a family. I love watching my littles grow and experience life. They are by far the best thing I've ever done.
