31 Days: Learning Joy from a 3 Year Old

Saturday, October 5, 2013

Isa started swim classes this week. We already knew she loved the water, but seeing her learn to kick and blow bubbles for half an hour with a massive grin plastered on her face the whole time, solidified this love.

My daughter is a fish.

She loved it. She lived every minute of that half hour to the fullest.

My 3 year old thoroughly enjoys her life. You can tell. She smiles, she laughs, she speaks with fervor.

She plays with imagination and isn't afraid of what others will think.

She proudly professes her love of princesses and all things pink.

She wants people to know.

To know what she thinks, what she feels.

What if I decided to live just a portion of how she lives in my day to day life?

What if I spoke with fervor and smiled like a 3 year old?

What if I tried to live each day with that much joy?

I've never met a more awesome 3 year old... though I may be a little biased.
