This weekend was great. There was a lot of pajama wearing and crazy hair going on, but for me those two things often equal success. We spent most of Saturday indoors since a repair man was coming to fix our dryer "sometime between 10 and 4." Oh Mexico, gotta love ya. This meant a lot of coloring, card playing, pancake making and general mess making. Also, cartoons with the class fish. Since when did my daughter become old enough to have a class fish? Time, it flies I tell ya.
Around 12 or so, Isa decided PJ's were for the common folk and she switched hers out for a princess dress. And rightfully so. I mean, how could you not?
Morgan spent most of the day walking around the house, because as of three weeks ago this is his favorite thing to do. I mean, can you blame the kid? Can you even imagine how incredible it must feel to have discovered this walking thing for the first time? Would you ever want to stop? I think the answer is clear.
James and I enjoyed the down time by staying in our Pijamas and only leaving the house to buy tacos, obviously.
Sunday was spent with sweet friends celebrating the soon to be birth of a co-workers little girl. Man, I love baby showers. There is so much joy, so much excitement. As a mom, when I go to these things now I can't help but think about all the potential in the room. All of the not yet experienced experiences. The crazy hard and beautiful times that are about to happen for this friend and her little family.
In the mean time, I watched as my two littles danced around the room, flirting with everyone there. My mom heart grew about 5 sizes bigger as I beamed with pride at just how awesome they are. Seriously, I love those two.
So lucky they are mine.
